CLARENCE HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP

The Impact Fund's first initiative has been going strong since 2002 at Dana's hometown school, Clarence High School in Buffalo, NY.  As the largest scholarship provided at Clarence, each year one graduating senior pursing journalism studies in college is awarded the Dana Marie Palumbo Scholarship. College tuition has never been higher and the Impact Fund is honored to be able to help reduce the costs for a student pursuing their dreams. Past winners of the scholarship have gone on to become editors, copywriters, english teachers and paralegals at companies including Vogue, Capital One, Cohen Milstein and Pace Communications. Most recent winners are currently enrolled at Allegheny, Barnard, Northeastern and Canisius College.

 “HAVE A DAY”

The Have A Day initiative strives to provide a positive experience for children and families to step away from the daily challenges, stress and grief that comes with losing a sibling or parent. Everyone dealing with this type of loss deserves to “Have A Day” to have fun again and enjoy a positive experience that helps lessen these challenges, even if just for a little while. The Impact Fund’s first partnership is with the Buffalo Sabres, sending children who have recently lost a sibling or parent to a Sabres game for free. Look for more partnerships to develop as Have A Day continues to grow. If you are associated with an organization that can provide a positive and fun experience for children of all ages we would love to hear from you.
